The CCAA has released its price assessment of doma in the Thimphu market, based on surveys conducted on May 15, 2026 across 11 wholesalers and 18 retail outlets. The assessment reveals a substantial decline in source-level prices (average −25.21%) and wholesale prices (up to −24.64%), yet retail prices fell by only 3.59–4.38%, indicating limited pass-through of upstream cost reductions to consumers. The CCAA will undertake further investigation into retail pricing conduct and strengthen price monitoring and consumer awareness measures.
